TOPdive Bora Bora is the headquarters for the TOPdive family of dive centers. The Bora Bora location is equipped with 3 boats (2 boats of 30 ft and 1 of 45 ft) allowing it to cater to dive groups of all sizes. For your convenience we provide free pickup from all hotels on the island. When diving with TOPdive Bora Bora don’t miss the manta ray dive, as it is an experience you will never forget.

TOPdive also has 2 dive centers in Moorea, 1 dive center in Rangiroa, Tahiti and Fakarava.
MOOREA: In Moorea, almost all of the dive spots are located outside the reef. There are about 18 popular spots, and the highlights are, of course, the sharks. They look impressive and dangerous, but are typically harmless. We do a shark feeding dive every morning, so it is very easy to get great pictures of different types of sharks, including gray sharks, black tip sharks and lemon sharks. From time to time we even see tiger sharks. You might also see other fish, like the fantastic napoleon wrasses and large moray eels. The visibility is fantastic in French Polynesia. There are also dolphins in Moorea, but you normally will only see them playing in front of your boat.
RANGIROA: Rangiroa is the second largest atoll in the world. From the beach, you can’t see the other side of the lagoon! The bad news about this atoll is that there are only 2 dive spots, but the good news is that you can see virtually everything that French Polynesia has to offer in these two spots.
TAHITI: Our dive center is located in the SHERATON Tahiti Hotel.
FAKARAVA: We are having our own center inside the Maitai Dream Hotel. Diving there is the highlight of Polynesia. Don’t miss it !!

Our hotel can of course also accommodate non-divers. We are just a short walk from the main village of Vaitape. Bora Bora offers many different activities, and we can set up a whole program of different excursions while you are with us at the TOPdive Resort. Diving
Actually, French Polynesia is the ideal spot for all levels of scuba divers. There are dive locations for the beginner inside the lagoon are more technical ones outside the reef. The visibility is very good in all locations, however as everywhere else it is dependent on factors outside our control such as weather and currents. Diving is excellent year round which means that there is no ’best’ season for scuba diving in French Polynesia. We have both a dry and a rainy season. The rainy season is during the Tahitian summer which lasts from December until February, and typically involves rain in the morning with sun in the afternoon.
TEMPERATURE: The water temperature ranges from 77 degrees during the Winter to 85 degrees during the Summer. Many divers here dive without a wet suit, but we suggest you dive with one to keep from getting chilly (a 3mm short wet suit should keep you plenty warm).
Our dive centers in Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahiti, Fakarava and Rangiroa provide all necessery gear. The equipment is actually included in the dive price. All our centers are authorized PADI dive centers which means we dive according to the standards and safety rules of PADI. The French law for dive centers is very strict and we are inspected at least once a year to make sure all guidelines and safety measures are met.
Dive Sites
If you enjoy seeing big fish this is the place to be. Sharks, sharks, and more sharks. Tahiti was rated shark capital of the Pacific by Skin Diver magazine and it definately lives up to its rating. Lemon, grey, black tip, white tip, and hammerhead sharks all make the waters around Tahiti their home.
The waters of Bora Bora are also home to the graceful manta rays. We are very lucky here, as we can see them inside the lagoon which means the dive location is perfect for divers with little experience, as the maximum depth is 60 feet. To get the most enjoyment out of diving with the big fish it is important to not touch or swim towards them. Instead, when you see one swimming towards you, stay calm, keep your arms close to your body and try to make as few movements as possible. You should try to stay out of their direct path so that they don’t have to swim around you. If you are careful you can follow them after they have passed, but they are fast and you will rapidly run out of breath if you try to keep up for too long.
Dive Equipment
All our equipment is Scubapro. We dive with 12 liter steel tanks (15 liter tanks are available by request). The tank valve is an INT and can be changed to a DIN one. We use Scubapro R-190 regulators with R-190 Octopi.
